Organisation: Intensive Care Foundation

Background

The Intensive Care Foundation improves the care of critically ill patients through funding vital research. Since 2000, the ICF has supported more than 100 research projects and provided more than $3m in funding.

In 2015, ICF asked Disruptive Media to create a new, refreshed website that would help the organisation attract more support for fundraising, engage with key donors, and continue its good work.

Approach

The first steps were identifying where the communication gaps were in the old website. We then developed a site map and design for the new site that addressed these issues, was easier to navigate, and that echoed the look and feel of the ICF.

As part of the project, we visited the Intensive Care Unit at Geelong Hospital to take photographs for the site. While there we had the sudden opportunity to interview an intensive care doctor and the family of a patient, which we were able to adapt into a digital story that helped share the ICF’s impact across its website and other social media.

Outcomes

The Intensive Care Foundation now has a user-friendly, engaging site that will help extend the organisation’s reach and support its work into the future.
